Something I discovered recently I thought it was one of those things I\u2019d just missed over the years but after a conversation I had in the office I thought it might be worth sharing here too.<\/p>\n

Normally when working with the command prompt if you want to copy some output you have to switch from the keyboard to the mouse.<\/p>\n

\"Command\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Which is fine, but if you\u2019re working with the keyboard (because you know, command prompt!) switching between that and the mouse can break your flow, well it does for me.<\/p>\n

Turns out you can redirect output straight to the clipboard by piping to clip.exe<\/p>\n

e.g<\/p>\n

Ping google.com | clip
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The output goes to the clipboard ready for pasting elsewhere.<\/p>\n

This is also particularly useful if the output is long and fills the visible area of the screen.<\/p>\n

This is the output from \u201cDriverQuery\u201d, you\u2019d have hard time copying all of that with the mouse<\/p>\n
