Is this thing on?<\/p>\n

The last thing I wrote about was my 10 year \u201cBlogiversary\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

After writing a few paragraphs marvelling at myself for writing for so long I then proceeded to not write anything <\/strong>for a whole year<\/p>\n

Yay me!<\/p>\n

So it is literally a year\u2026today is the 11th anniversary of my first blog post.<\/p>\n

With this landmark approaching it got me thinking into why<\/em> my output is significantly different to what it was 10 years ago<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not that difficult though. My life is totally different to what it is was 10 years ago.<\/p>\n

My job has totally changed.<\/strong> I do less front line technical work and more management work.<\/p>\n

My family has totally changed.<\/strong> We had a four month old baby when I started here. I\u2019ve now got 8 year old and 11 year old daughters!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My hobbies and interests<\/strong> have totally changed. Running is a thing now\u2026.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Internet is different.<\/strong> Social media gives me a wide variety of places to empty my random thoughts into.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t even look the same!<\/p>\n

(hilarious\u2026)<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

All of these have different demands on my time.<\/p>\n

It would be really easy at this point to say<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have the time anymore\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

That phrase is a bug bear of mine as it\u2019s rarely totally true for most people.<\/p>\n

What I actually mean is there are other things that are currently more important to me than writing blog posts.<\/p>\n

These three mainly\u2026<\/p>\n

That\u2019s simplifying it little but it covers most of it.<\/p>\n

But I do miss writing here, so I\u2019m going to get back into the habit.<\/p>\n

The other main reason is that I\u2019d forgotten who I was writing for.<\/p>\n

Too many times I\u2019d half write something then abandon it because I didn\u2019t think anyone would be interested<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t really matter as my core audience is all that matter<\/p>\n

Me\u2026This is for me<\/p>\n

If anyone else reads it then that\u2019s great (hello!)<\/p>\n

So lets see if I can actually make it to two posts for the next twelve months<\/p>\n
