My first Vista tip!<\/p>\n

I’m loving the sidebar at the moment. I changed the options so that it is always on top and dropped a couple of useful things on there.<\/p>\n

Clock, it’s a bit more visible than the clock in the system tray.<\/p>\n

Remote Desktop Connection Gadget<\/a>\u00a0– allows me to quickly Remote Desktop into any of the servers i’m looking after<\/p>\n

Slideshow – I use this to cycle pictures of my daughter<\/p>\n

So i dropped the slideshow gadget onto the sidebar. Created a search to only find pictures that are tagged with my daughers name and i tried to point the gadget at the search…no not happening.<\/p>\n

I was a little bit annoyed that i couldn’t do this. It meant i’d have to create\u00a0a seperate folder and it starts to do away with the whole “tagging” feature (which i really love btw!)<\/p>\n

Anyway a bit of digging this morning comes up with the following from the sidebar team blog<\/a><\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Create an actual folder <\/font><\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Perform a search of pictures<\/font><\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Save search to created folder <\/font><\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Point the Slideshow gadget at the created folder<\/font><\/p>\n

5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Make sure \u201cInclude subfolders\u201d \u00a0is checked<\/font><\/p>\n
