It\u2019s come to light recently that some partners are having their SBSC status change without realising<\/p>\n

The reason being that the Sales and Marketing Assessment you have to complete when signing up only lasts for two years. On top of this you don\u2019t receive any E-mails or alerts to let you know. <\/p>\n

Microsoft are aware of this and looking into it but in the meantime just do the following to check<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Logon to the Microsoft partner portal (this link is for the UK<\/a>) <\/p>\n

Click \u201cView Your Membership Account\u201d and then click \u201cMembership Center\u201d<\/p>\n

Select \u201cCompetency Summary\u201d from the \u201cRequirements & Assets\u201d menu<\/p>\n

Scroll down until you find the Small Business Specialist Community<\/em> section<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll notice at the bottom it\u2019s letting me know that I need to complete the assessment so click on the \u201cTraining and Assessment\u201d link<\/p>\n

This takes you to the assessment page \u2013 click start to begin (make sure you allow pop-ups from the site)<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The assessment is shouldn\u2019t be too difficult to complete if you\u2019ve already done it once before. Once you pass you should see this <\/p>\n

You can then return to the competency summary to check to see if you are compliant once again \u2013 this doesn\u2019t appear to update straight away though (it hadn\u2019t when I\u2019d posted this) so check back later<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
