<\/a>One of the things I really enjoy about the Halo series of games is the back story and for Halo fans there has been plenty of fiction thrown up which I\u2019ve been more than happy to read!<\/p>\n

So when I saw Halo Evolutions<\/a> and Halo Evolutions Volume 2<\/a> on Amazon I ordered them straight away. <\/p>\n

In a nutshell the books are a series of short stories based around the Halo Universe and explore multiple areas from various different characters such as Admiral Cole\u2019s backstory, what happened to Cortana while she was waiting to be rescued from the Gravemind or even following an Elite as he revisits a planet he\u2019d previously helped destroy. There\u2019s a summary of each story on the Halo Wiki<\/a><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve not been able to put the first book down and as soon as I\u2019d finished the first I was onto the second, which is where the disappointment set in as what I was reading seemed awfully familiar! <\/p>\n

The pages on Amazon don\u2019t explain this at all but there are actually THREE books.<\/p>\n

Halo Evolutions<\/p>\n

Halo Evolutions: Volume 1<\/p>\n

Halo Evolutions: Volume 2 <\/p>\n

Turns out they took one big book and split it into two smaller books so the Volume 2 I paid for contains all the stories I\u2019ve already read, save for one extra story meaning I\u2019ve effectively paid for an extra 16 pages. <\/p>\n

I\u2019m trying not to let this get in the way of the fact I really enjoyed what I did read though, I\u2019m just a little miffed the differences weren\u2019t clear. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
