{"id":928,"date":"2011-04-05T20:34:13","date_gmt":"2011-04-05T20:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/andyparkes.co.uk\/blog\/index.php\/2011\/04\/05\/retro-computer-museummay-2011\/"},"modified":"2011-04-05T20:34:13","modified_gmt":"2011-04-05T20:34:13","slug":"retro-computer-museummay-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/andyparkes.co.uk\/blog\/index.php\/2011\/04\/05\/retro-computer-museummay-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"Retro Computer Museum&ndash;May 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you\u2019re into video games you should really think about getting tickets for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.retrocomputermuseum.co.uk\/\">Retro Computer Museum<\/a> Weekend in Coalville just outside of Leicester.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s on the 7th &amp; 8th of May and I can highly recommend it. <\/p>\n<p>Last year when it was a single day event <a href=\"http:\/\/tubblog.wordpress.com\/2010\/11\/05\/retro-computer-museum-gaming-day\/\" class=\"broken_link\">Richard Tubb and I went <\/a>and had a great day.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll both be going on the 7th this year (it\u2019s my wedding anniversary that weekend \u2013 going both days would probably be pushing it <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile\" alt=\"Smile\" src=\"https:\/\/andyparkes.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/wlEmoticon-smile.png\" \/>) and it\u2019d well worth the trip. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s at the village hall in Coalville which is a great venue for something like this as it\u2019s not a huge exhibition hall so everyone chats to each other. <\/p>\n<p>One of the highlights last time around was the Bomberman tournament they projected onto the wall, even though I was terrible at it. The winner picked up special edition golden Game Cube. I\u2019m hoping the tournament this time around is something I might stand a chance of winning &#8211; though unless it\u2019s Street Fighter 2 this is unlikely <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-winkingsmile\" alt=\"Winking smile\" src=\"https:\/\/andyparkes.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/wlEmoticon-winkingsmile.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s \u00a36.00 if you book the tickets in advance and \u00a37.50 on the day, though I can see the tickets running out so get in there quickly!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you\u2019re into video games you should really think about getting tickets for the Retro Computer Museum Weekend in Coalville just outside of Leicester.
