The BBC is reporting about industry backing for a tool to battle spam <\/a><\/p>\n

It’s called DomainKeys Identified Mail and works by using\u00a0digital signatures.<\/p>\n

The organisation that is setting this up can be found here<\/a><\/p>\n

Nice idea in practise but first thing that sprang to mind was<\/p>\n

“What happened to Sender ID & SPF?”<\/p>\n

There is a page on the site and you’ll notice there is no Microsoft or Google on the list.<\/p>\n

Will this be an idea that comes to the fore? or will it just fall away and everyone will forget about it in six months?<\/p>\n
