parkrun Reviews

parkrun!

Bryony and I love trying out different events as they are all so unique. As I’ve become a bit of a parkrun nerd I thought it would be useful to share what we’ve found out about each event. Hopefully it’ll help someone else or it’ll be a useful memory jog as years go by.

We both have different wants, needs and expectations for each event so while I’m writing each of those I’m hoping each review will provide both of our viewpoints. So in terms of those viewpoints….

Who are we?

Fell Foot parkrun

Andy and Bryony.

We’re both in our early 40s and have been running for a long time! (and in Bryony’s case swimming and cycling too.)

Andy runs for Nuneaton Harriers and is doing his best to chase PBs over all sorts of distances. Current PB is 17:57 at Perry Hall, March 2023.

Bryony is a member of Nuneaton triathlon club and while she describes herself as a “back of the pack” runner she loves settings really ambitious goals. She’s also a Deaf runner so needs events to be as accessible as possible. Current PB is 32:34 at Bedworth, March 2019.

Our home parkrun is Bedworth though we both hate the hill you have to run up…twice.
