I’m certainly not the first person to have done this but couldn’t help post about it
We’ve had an awful lot going on here recently
I posted a couple of months ago about our latest recruit. The main plan was to get him up to speed on how we work and develop his role to help to take a lot of the day to day problems we get (You know the sort “I can’t print”, “why can’t I send this 25mb attachment?”)
This also involved going out to client sites to install PC’s and printers, memory upgrades, etc
For him to do this he needed to be mobile so we’ve invested in a van. As well as the company logos we’ve had small business specialist logos added as well
How does it look?
The pictures were taken on an iPhone so if the quality is low…blame Apple 🙂

I have seen a few comments around regarding the strap line for the UK SBSC – my suggestion with the “UK Partner Qualified for 2008” text is that Microsoft UK adapt to read “UK Partner Qualified from 2008”.

We got the printer to crop the image so that it doesn’t show it though it worried me little as i’m not sure how that fits in with Microsoft logo usage guidelines?
Surely they wouldn’t expect us to have the van redone every year?
The SBSC Nascar doesn’t have the strap line on though so hoping that’ll be ok

Ok it’s been a while since I’ve been in the uk (3 yrs) and I initially thought that all numbers started 01x. Looked up on wikipedia and apparently coventry should actually be 024 7668 7333! Don’t think I’d bother resigning the van though – it would probably just confuse everyone.

Yes you are right about the Coventry code
What the wikipedia article doesn’t say though is that all Coventry numbers start with 76 (it sort of goes over it with London example)
This means while 024 is the dialing code 02476 is the “unofficial” dialing code
When phone numbers are passed on in person the 76 part is usually dropped as everyone assumes it already (in this case the number would be 687333)
This means on the van that anyone out of the area would need to dial the full number anyway so it doesn’t matter how it was spaced but for anyone local the last part of the number is the important part so it’s kept separate
I agree from a correctness perspective it’s wrong. But it was done intentionally
Probably doesn’t help that i’m not from Coventry!
My original dialing code is 01922 so I’m used to breaking numbers up in that way
